The Problem

Due to discrimination and barriers, people with disabilities face difficulties in fully participating in society and enjoying their rights on an equal basis with others. Discrimination manifests when products and services, including legal services and the justice system, become inaccessible. Barriers also arise due to the lack of inclusivity in work environments and the inaccessible digital platforms, including mobile applications and websites, where people with different types of disabilities are not considered in the design and development processes. Altogether aims to eliminate discrimination against persons with disabilities, raise awareness about disability rights and the human rights model of disability, promote the participation of persons with disabilities in society and decision-making processes, and improve the accessibility of products, services, workplaces, and the justice system through an accessible mobile application.

The Solution

“Altogether” is an innovative initiative centered around creating an accessible mobile application that provides free access to legal information, offers free legal assistance, connects users to disability support centers, facilitates reporting mechanisms for persons with disabilities, and offers disability compliance services for businesses and institutions. Persons with disabilities will have free access to legal information and lawyers, as well as contact details of disability help centers. App users will be able to report issues directly to the relevant responsible bodies, specifically governmental organizations receiving prompt notifications and replies in their accounts, thereby enhancing accessibility to justice and fostering active participation in decision-making processes. For businesses and institutions, our compliance services will help align their products, services and workplaces with disability rights regulations and best practices which will make them more inclusive.
