The Problem

Many with Disability and Mental Health struggles face an acute challenge to communicate and express their thoughts, feelings and emotions - irrespective of being verbal or non-verbal speaking. Daily problems include: - People with Disability and Mental Health have difficulty validating emotions - People with Disability and Mental Health may have less available resources (family / friends) as a communicative outlet - Stigma to communicating emotions and mental wellbeing creates a communicative/expressionism barrier for people with Disability and Mental Health - Verbal modalities restrict creative expressionism for people with Disability and Mental Health

The Solution

Communication tool (enabling expression through text and visual modalities) that provides a safe and secure outlet for manifesting emotional states. The communication tool will be driven by OpenAI proprietary technology with a highly intuitive interface. Users can create characters that embody themselves or people in their life and use these characters in the communicative outputs they generate. It's intended that these communicative outputs can be stories (short and long form), journal entries, poems or other forms. Character and text creation is easily generated through simple prompts (I.e., making it as easy as possible) from the user. The tool will integrate emotive state check-ins to capture important emotional regulation information and be used to personalise the users output generation. The communication stories and emotional state tracking can become a valuable resource for parents and support workers to break-through existing communication barriers.
