Magnify Access

Bridging the accessibility gap in workplaces with W-PAS, a digital platform that streamlines the accommodation process for employees with disabilities.
Individuals with disabilities continue to face substantial barriers in the workforce despite advancements in legislation and awareness surrounding accessibility and inclusion. According to Statistics Canada, the employment rate for Canadians with disabilities is consistently lower than for those without disabilities. There is a significant underutilization of this skilled talent pool, leading to missed opportunities for both employers and employees. Challenges to employment opportunities exist, from the inaccessibility of job postings to telephone and in-person interviews, onboarding and training, and performance reviews, with consideration for barriers which may exist within the work environment.
W-PAS, or the Workplace Accommodation System, is our innovative project by Magnify Access to address a critical problem in the employment landscape. This initiative aims to bridge the accessibility gap in workplaces by providing a comprehensive solution to accommodate the diverse needs of employees with disabilities. It serves as a digital platform that streamlines the accommodation process, making it efficient, user-friendly, and effective for both employees and employers. As a queue-based ticketing and tracking system that processes on-demand accommodation needs. Employees with disabilities initiate the accommodation process by submitting a request through W-PAS. This request can encompass a wide range of accommodation needs, including physical modifications, assistive technology, accessible communication, and more. Once a request is submitted, W-PAS triggers an automated workflow that guides employers and disability service providers through the necessary steps.
