My Ability Hub

Enhancing ability to complete daily living tasks, community access and participation through accessible visual organisation tools.
My Ability Hub wants to empower, encourage and foster independence for people living with a disability. Primarily targeted towards those who may not have the working memory, or literary skills to understand events and/or tasks occurring in their lives and the requirements of such events/tasks, but still live very active and social lives. My Ability Hub strives to support parents/carers and support workers to create a visual schedule using real and relevant photo images, helping to create and deepen meaningful connection for the individual requiring support, to assist them with understanding events that are occurring in their everyday life.
My Ability Hub aims to create an in built application compatible for both phone and wearable. It will have two user interfaces. A carer and a dependent. The carer will be able to input data into a calendar regarding events and/or tasks that are occurring in the individuals life. Any updates will occur in real time. The dependant will then be alerted to events/tasks in the form of an image that is familiar to them. i.e photo of OT, swimming pool/teacher, bedtime, toilet, toothbrush etc. Tasks will have the option to have a reward assigned to them, so if/when tasks are completed virtual money will appear and contribute to a predetermined reward and value i.e. screen time 20 coins. The application will have geotagging enabled so alerts of location can be sent to the carer. i.e dependent has arrived at supermarket, school, home etc.
