ABOUT PRESENTER
Amy Connelly is a Dharug woman, registered nurse, social worker, and co-founder of Marco Polo Portal; a platform reimagining how people with disabilities choose their homes and who they live with. Before breaking the mold, Amy worked within the NDIS as a Local Area Coordinator and ran her own Supported Independent Living (SIL) service, where she saw the system’s cracks up close.
Rather than accept the status quo, she decided to rebuild it. Combining clinical insight, cultural perspective, and lived frontline experience, Amy brings compassion with a rebellious edge, challenging outdated models that treat people like placements instead of people.
