At Remarkable, our Scaler co-investments are driven by a simple question: will this technology create meaningful, scalable impact for people with cerebral palsy (CP) or similar complex disability? Possibility Neurotechnologies answers that question with a resounding yes.

A graduate of our 2023 Australia+ Accelerator program, Possibility Neurotechnologies has developed Think2Switch™ — a non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) that enables individuals with severe physical disability to communicate and control a range of devices using only their thoughts. This includes Wi-Fi-connected devices as well as other switch-accessible technologies that can be operated through standard switch interfaces. By eliminating the need for movement or speech, Think2Switch opens new possibilities for autonomy, connection, and participation in everyday life.

Accessibility through beautiful, ingenious simplicity and affordability

Think2Switch is intentionally designed to be simple to set up, compatible with commercially available brain sensing (EEG) headsets, and offered at a price point that brings high-quality assistive technology (AT) within reach for more families. Users can often begin operating the system in under five minutes, enabling them to:

  • Communicate through switch-accessible communication devices and software.
  • Control their environment, such as activating lights, appliances, or other Wi-Fi-connected devices.
  • Operate switch-accessible technology, including switch-adapted toys, tools, and other assistive systems.

By focusing on affordability and ease of use, Possibility Neurotechnologies is tackling a long-standing barrier: many advanced AT solutions never reach the people who could benefit most, simply because they are too complex or costly. Think2Switch is changing that.

Part of a rapidly evolving BCI landscape

Global interest in BCI is rapidly growing, with high-profile companies such as Synchron and Neuralink developing implantable systems for medical and research purposes. While these approaches hold promise, they are invasive and require significant clinical intervention. Think2Switch offers a non-invasive alternative — one that can be deployed quickly, used safely in everyday environments, and still deliver meaningful, empowering outcomes for users.

At Remarkable, we’re excited about how BCI is set to open up a whole new category of technology — not just for people with disability, but for everyone. The fact that Possibility Neurotechnologies is starting with complex disability shows, yet again, how disability drives innovation, with solutions developed for those with the highest access needs often paving the way for broader technological breakthroughs.

Possibility Neurotechnologies is demonstrating that complex disability drives innovation for the benefit of all.

Grounded in lived experience and guided by impact

Co-founder and CEO Dr. Dion Kelly’s motivation is deeply personal. Her commitment to supporting children with CP and other complex disabilities is grounded in lived experience and shaped by more than seven years working directly with children with quadriplegic CP. With academic expertise spanning physiology, pharmacology, and biomedical technology—focused on BCIs for neurodegenerative disease—Dion combines technical knowledge with a deep understanding of the lived reality of disability. Together with co-founder Dr. Adam Kirton, she leads with transparency, adaptability, and a clear focus on creating practical, empowering solutions that are informed by continuous feedback from users and their families.

Aligned with CPA’s mission

Possibility Neurotechnologies’ mission resonates strongly with Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s commitment to improving lives through innovation. The company’s approach to co-design, affordability, and scalability reflects our shared values of inclusion, access, and lifelong support.

We are proud to invest in Possibility Neurotechnologies as they continue to refine and expand Think2Switch, and to work alongside them in making AT more accessible to underserved communities around the world.
